A: The Minimum Length of Rib is 6 metres.

A: Each boat has to be capable of cruising at a minimum of 25 knots in good conditions.
Q: Does my boat have to be able to travel a long distance.
A: Each boat has to be capable of a minimum range of 200nm.
Q: Do I need a radio licence.
A: Each boat shall have a crewmember who holds a valid Short range VHF Certificate.
Q: Do I need any special qualifications.
A: Each Skipper must hold a minimum qualification of ISA Powerboat level 2 and have offshore experience.

A: Each boat must hold comprehensive insurance with third party and offshore cover.
Q: Do I need to get my boat checked.
A: Each boat shall undergo an RNLI Sea Safety check, three weeks before departure and be passed as fit to travel by an RNLI Sea Safety Adviser.
